The Sri Lanka Apparel Exporters Association (SLAEA), in collaboration with Acentura and Huawei, hosted an exclusive members-only knowledge-sharing session Themed “Fashioning the Future – Apparel Tailored for Tomorrow,” the event brought together 100 participants from SLAEA’s membership to explore how digital innovation is reshaping the global apparel landscape.
The session delved into the transformative role of AI, Machine Learning (ML), and digital technologies across the apparel value chain. Discussions highlighted how the industry can strengthen agility, resilience, operational efficiency, sustainability, and workforce upskilling through strategic technology adoption.

- Chandana Ranasinghe (Acentura): Demonstrated RELEX software’s capabilities in forecasting, replenishment, and scheduling automation.
- Jatin Paul (WFX): Introduced Cloud ERP & PLM solutions designed to streamline operations from design to sales and enhance team collaboration.
- Rahul Jain (Accelon): Presented a comprehensive ERP platform integrating finance, supply chain, and production processes.

- Panel Discussion:A dynamic panel discussion closed the event, featuring insights from Steve Dodd (MAS Holdings), Shanaka Rabel (Stretchline) & Hiroshan Samarthunga (Huawei) Moderated by Chandana Ranasinghe, the panel explored global best practices to accelerate digital maturity in Sri Lanka’s apparel sector, with a strong emphasis on innovation-led growth.
